i like em! i went to car show weekend in ocmd in oct. there were a bunch of sick rat rods.

Not many people on this site will be able to give you any correct info on a rat rod.

I thought the whole point of customizing, rat rodding, hot rodding, etc was to do things the way you personally dig. What do you mean, "correct info"?

If were gonna discuss them I'm sure only a few people on this site have any real knowledge of how to build a rat rod I said nothing about searching and posting pics.

i'm not sayin it actually started as that, but that's what a stock one looks like.

I'll try to get pics of my old '49 chevy 1/2 ton. Not totally rat rodded, but somewhat.

Most of those cars are traditional rods not rat rods

The thread is for sharing information and posting pics. If you don't plan on doing either one please don't continue to clutter this thread.

I saw someone posted a pretty hot bug further up, I know it's not traditional but the volks rods are awesome. I don't see as many rat rods around here but every now and then one will roll in to the car show at Trexlertown or one of the other local meets I go to and they are just really cool to check out.

There's a pretty bad ass pickup rolling around Pennsauken all ratted out. Just a tank for fuel on the bed rails and the cab slung way low.

I personally like them, but it's definately not a style for the chrome n' dubs crowd.
