New from the Lehigh Valley
I registered here over a year ago but I had a problem with my username and I completely forgot about it until recently. Anyways, I drive what you would consider an old man car but beneath the gray hair exterior beats the heart of competition. Wow, that sounded corny!! Anyways, I have a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera International that is powered by a turbocharged 3800 V6. The engine started out as an L67(read supercharged 3800 Series II) that I swapped in from a '99 Buick Regal. After driving it like that for about a year I took off the supercharger and fabricated my own turbo setup. I used a Turbonetics 60-1 with a P-trim wheel in a .68 A/R turbine housing. I've been out terrorizing unsuspecting cars a lot lately so if you ever see me around be sure to wave.
![]() Here's a gallery of it the swap and some other stuff. http://www.gmv6.org/gallery/L67_Ciera/ Here's me at the track a couple weeks ago running a 12.8 @ 112. My best was a 12.767 @ 112. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xhe7O...e=channel_page And here's me at the last LVimports dyno day. I was was down ~25 whp from the previous one but I had a lot of torque management on the engine which was causing some pretty low timing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlcOZ...e=channel_page |

Holy ****, hahhaha, that's awesome!! How often do you take it out and scare/surprise the hell out of people? Cause if I owned that car, that'd be my JOB.
Dyno? More setup info? Boost level, tune, yadda-yadda? Oh, and welcome to TST. ![]()

It's actually kind tough to get someone to take it serious if they don't know about the car. The last time I had it on a dyno it was ~357 hp at the wheels. I had a good amount of torque management on the engine which I have since removed. It's running 14 psi of boost and I tune it myself with HP Tuners and an LC-1 wideband. If I can keep my trans going I'm shooting for a cam and injectors soon. The 39 lb injectors I have in there are almost at 100% duty cycle.

Nice numbers, tho'. The LC-1 always done well for you? I tried to run one on my old Mazda, but after Innovate had to send me parts twice and the damn thing STILL didn't work -- I just gave up.
