Philly Nightlife: Where do you go?

I've found myself mainly at Red Sky, sometimes 3 days a week, sometimes none, and tried outdoor seating at Marmont right nextdoor last week. Love both places but kinda looking for a new spot to visit.

Where do you frequent? Mainly looking for places in old city so if I don't like them I can just walk to one of the many other lounges near-by.

Finnegan's Wake and McFadden's seem to be da hot ticket in Old City.

neither of those places are in Olde City


Anyways, Mad River is a good time...Plow and Stars is usually packed and the girls are old and not cute...Triumph is a pretty chill atmosphere if you like microbrews. Lots of other places there though...Blue Martini, Continental, Brownies etc

I went to Paddywack's on 2nd and South about a month ago and had a pretty good time. They always have $5 Miller Lite pitchers which is great if you feel like blacking out.

You looking for club type atmosphere? I mainly stick to bars/pubs, but sometimes i make it to places like Roxxy, but that's when i'm feeling like a guido.

red sky isn't bad i've been there a few times. I cant stand blue martini but thats just me.

I really like the plough and the star, i've only been there once but its a pretty sweet place.


and if your in the mood for a pub style bar, you can't go wrong with drinkers.

drinkers is good, it just gets crowded as **** there.
Whatever the place is right next to drinkers, but on the second story, is pretty good.
Also the place across the street seems to get a good crowd.

Blue martini is alright, just too expensive for my taste.

The raven lounge, although small, is pretty cool.

Hmm tough choice but my two favorite are Mad River ( when it's cold out ) and Cavanaugh's Riverdeck now that's starting to get warmer out. You really just have to pick the right nights to go. Mad River has some killer deals on thursday night and Cavanaughs sometimes has a 10-12 happy hour for $10 and that includes getting in so ya, $10 and your trashed ready to dance with any girl in that place by midnight lol.

Katmandu in Trenton also gets pretty busy on a thursday and sat night but it's more of a darker crowd which I don't mind myself but ... who knows. They have some sweet bands outside in the summer.

I think we need to plan a TST night out in Philly.

Cool and I haven't been there on a thursday night in a long time but basically last summer my two buddies lived there all week long lol. They probably spent thousands of dollars there each. Luckily I worked almost every thursday lol

Me and my peeps hit up Roxxy from time to time. although the last time we went was marti gras and there was way too many 35 year olds hunting for high school poon. hella sketchy.

Just a heads-up for everyone, city is beat tuesday night. Red sky which is usually packed had 12 people in it when we walked in, 15 when we left 30 minutes later. Delilahs was empty, no more than 15 people there, and Club One at Rittenhouse was beat as well.

Cliff notes: Tuesdays, save your time and gas and stay home.

BTW if anyone is free Thursday night, if the weather is clear come to Marmont in old city, 222 Market st. Feel free to say hello, I'll be at one of the outside tables.

and for manayunk i walk there
