My winter warrior is....

SURPRISE, the Crossfire...

However, when there's snow I throw the transmission into "winter/wet" mode, which starts the car in 2nd gear and shifts at lower rpm's. I also leave the ESP on, which does a really good job of keeping that sucker straight, even if it's sliding instead of rolling. Controlled drifting through turns, woohoo! I'm also hoping that these new Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires will do a good job, but that remains untested.

I have those, they're rubbish. I pray for your safety.

I'll post pics of my new snow tires when they arrive, should be tomorrow. My car is gonna look sick with 16's in front and 17's in back.

Well, they've been good so far...excellent cornering in dry and traction in wet. I don't expect them to be "great" in the snow, but better than if I had gotten regular Pilot Sports...plus any tire that's 255/35R19 isn't going to like the snow. Hopefully we'll see Thursday night!

Oh yeah, dry and wet they're good enough (though I think they could be better for $200 a shot, but that's a discussion for another time and place), but they are terrible in the snow. And keep in mind this is coming from a guy who drives a FWD with 225/45/17 tires and 60% of the weight over the driving wheels. They're better than summer tires.......just, but only all-termperature, not really "all-season." Just want you to be fully aware of what you're getting into, that's all.

I can tell by your avatar

If its the R34 Skyline or the M3 I'd say go for the M3. Its extremely comfortable with a great suspension and 50/50 weight distribution. you can find a 2002 M3 now around 40-50k for mid to high 30's. Parts are readily available and its making 333hp and 269lbs of torque NA. The R34 Skyline is around 95k right now, no warranty, parts will not come that readily 2xxhp I-6 twin turbo. The M3 will also not break as easily as the skykline because its N/A

I post my beater jetta, but I hate it and I may just drive it into a brick wall to end its miserable existence.

I miss my S14 Even with the snow. Sliding around in it was fun!
