so im about to pick up my wheels that were done by martin. they were coated in "shocker yellow" and as most of you guys know its prob the most unique color ever. i need to find a matching spray paint that i can do my center caps with. anyone have any luck with this?

the center caps are plastic i'm assuming? martin can powdercoat plastic! he did my plastic engine cover, and it turned out perfect.

there is no way your finding anything close thats an intense color.

ok first off... Your not gonna find a paint close to it. Its a 2 coat process. I believe super chrome base coat with the shocker yellow coat over top. And you can only powder coat certain plastics that will resist and were designed to resist extreme temperatures. Engine covers will hold heat usually cause they sit right on top of the motor. That center cap is not gonna be able to hold that temp in the oven.

he's doen it on the suby center caps (not bbs). i think they are plastic. The caps you have must not be thick enough

i don't think any center caps will really work... HE will just have to wrap the **** out of it in tin foil or something for the oven

OK let me sum it up. I can do plastic i have been pretty successful in doing it from Justin's valve cover to jons center caps that Bryan was speaking of, i stop doing plastics now only because it is very stress full and time consuming and there is always a 50/50 chance that it might work or it might end up as a puddle of goo on the oven floor so i stopped offering coating plastic unless you want to take that chance.
