Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

The dog lived though, thats crazy! Got shot in the head twice and lived! I love pitbulls. Just goes to show you, like you said, they are not all bad. I firmly believe it has more to do with how they are raised, and what their parents history's are like.

Because the guy obviously was trying to harm the animals family. They are very loyal dogs. They can tell the difference between an intruder with violent intentions and a normal stranger....

He didn't actually attack the intruder. He might have tried to hurt him, but like people said he was just trying to protect his family. The dog was smart enough to know that the man was not a good man. ANY guard dog would do the same thing.

Dogs aren't idiots, they know intruders when they see one and can judge situational response based on the response of what the dog perceives to be family. If there is a response of fear and the dog is bonded to the family, it will respond in turn.

My family has bred a bunch of dogs and when they learn the family and you teach them how to respond to strangers properly, they can infer their response off of situations. Don't know about the dog in this situation, but they aren't dumb and can reason to some degree.

mine has not attacked anyone but is very loyal to me and my friends..and when i bring him to my moms to visit her 2 dogs he is super loyal to her..walks by her side and lays with her haha..she changed her mind about pits..she wouldnt even pet him when i first got him.
