For fun road rally?

I was wondering if anyone would be interesting in participating in a (for fun) road rally?

If I got one together, would anyone be interested?

This would be open to all cars. I might be a better idea for a scavenger hunt since its getting cold out.

Similar to a scavenger hunt, each team received a "task" list to accomplish. To prove that each task was completed, each team recorded the event with a video camera.

Winning point incentives stimulated timeliness and creativity in the video making. When all the teams returned, the videos will be played back.

Example Rules:
You have one hour to complete the Road Rally.
A different team member should complete each individual task.
Record all team members on tasks designated "group".
Every task should be completed at a different sight.
No speeding and obey all traffic laws!

Example Point set up:

5 points for keeping rules
5 points for arriving within the hour
5 points for team who returns first
5 points for sighting other teams (record on video)
5 points for team voted best on each individual task
10 points for most creative overall
10 points for most humorous overall
5 points deducted for arriving late

There would be an entry fee, (since its close to the holidays I am thinking a kid toy or similar), and hopefully prizes to the winning team.

Speeding is overrated, anyway.

I might be interested depending on when this goes down.

Have we ever thought of doing a Food Drive rally on TST? I say this because we're doing a Cranksgiving event up here at PSU (on bikes, instead of with cars), and it's a really good idea for a good cause.

Say, something like this:

Organize 5-10 stops (i.e. different supermarkets or convenience stores) in a specified area, compile a list of items to be bought at each store (say, a list of 10 items for each store, and you only have to buy at least one), and a start/finish. We could do it individually or as teams. And once this is all said and done, we all drive to the nearest food bank and donate it all?

Extra points for whoever collects the most, who has the most creative team, quickest ET, etc.

Just an idea.

That sounds cool.

Hopefully some more people will post if they are interested in doing the food drive (get it...drive...hahaha.... ) or just a regular rally.

That would be awesome. When are they doing their collection this year?

A couple years back I did a cruise with the Scion clubs of the area to the campout for hunger and donated a bunch of food there.

There's a feeler thread for the campout. http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...43#post1077443 It died off, so if you guys want to start it back up in this thread, I'd def. be up for a cruise there.
