Will Asher roth Succeed if Eminem releases a new album?

So Asher Roth came out with his mixtape (Thedailykush.com) and he is pretty sick. Now that he is signed by Akon and is planning on releasing an album in 09. But rumor has it that that Eminem is releasing an album in 09 as well, and many people compare the two to each other, and question if there is room for 2 sick white rapper.

There is an article somewhere but im too lazy to look for it. lol

eminem is no longer "sick" imo encore was an awesome cd but i think his time has come and gone, but who knows i'll admit i am an eminem fan but i think its time for one of the best rappers evaaa to hang up the mic and stick to producing, and the every now and then piece in a song.

asher roth and eminem are two completely different rappers. i dont think asher roth will make it big even tho i do like his music. but every college kid in america will love his music. who wouldnt when its all about smokin weed gettin laid and partyin.

As for Eminem, I honestly HATED him when he first came out, but some of the later stuff was pretty sick. dunna about this other guy though, maybe ill listen to it later.

I don't think he'll blow up. Not hating but If it's the same guy im thinking of he sounds wayyy to much like Eminem. He'll just be written off as another white rapper trying to copy Eminem.

i'm not too impressed with asher roth, I am pretty picky about my rap, its not too bad like i think he'll be popular for a few months then he'll be gone, this isnt club music nor riding music its like chill music and chill music isn't very big these days.

plus he sounds sooo much like eminem i dunno who knows... i mean i thought lil wayne was crap and still do but seems im the only one

Race has gone away from Hip Hop, there are alot of white emcee's out there. Em' needs to go back to the way he use to be, besides that, he aint **** anymore.

this is true, to some degree. first off EM is still awesome it do wish he'd throw some disses in there cuz he's so good at those disses on people celebs etc. second yeah there are a lot more non-black rappers BUT race is not out of rap as it probably never will, but when i heard guys like lil wayne refer to white people as crackers and it seems like some rappers use the white guy as a loser.

I like the more "gangster hardcore" stuff like the game (older, and newer) and older rap (cool g rap dmx etc). anyone know that new ludacris song? i heard it on a station that wasn't coming in to clear but it was really good, i've always liked ludacris... but yeah what the name of his new song?

I also used to hate Eminem with that slim shady ****. But then I was forced to listen to his other stuff and was amazed!!! This Roth dude is good but he is obviously inspired by Eminem way too much and sounds just like him. He needs his own style and he also made a HUGE mistake in a couple of his songs by repeating the same lines over and over which in my book means no real talent like most rappers today.

O, and the term freestyle should never be used on stuff that’s obviously written.

yea. he was at a house in west chester for home coming it was sweet. The cops came to break it up so he went on the roof and kept going.

I agree every college kid would love his stuff, especially the song I love college, you can look it up on youtube.

Wow asher roth blows... there so many other white rappers that have 10 times as much talent as asher. ****, I can name 2 local (bucks county) white rappers who are more known then asher roth.

Eminem is sick. His old school **** is a lot better then his new stuff but that free verse (prewritten and no chorus) relapse is dope. Lookinf forward to his new cd I was reading online that he had a ton of tracks done but they were "out dated" so eminem was writing all new songs so the cd got delayed.
