The other day as I was washing my car, I notice a small rust spot starting to develop on the roof. Can I complain to the dealership about this? I shouldn't be seeing rust on a new car..

Also I notice several small paint bumps, what causes that?

yes, most new car manufacturers have a warranty on the paint. Also covered in bumper to bumper warranty

agreed.
and bumps in otherwise smooth paint can also be a sign of rust forming underneath.

damn that sucks...there really are warranties on paint. my paint chips easy as hell.

all of new hondas paint sucks too. hopefully theyll fix it...rust sucks especially when its a brand new car

36K and my front bumper, fenders, hood and mirrors look like it has permanent bug splatter but its chipping paint. 07 Civic BTW

But anyway go to the dealer and most important is to stay calm when there

Toyota paint blows in general. You should see the front of my xA.

You'd think Lexus paint was good... yeah, think again. I worked at a Lexus dealer for a year. Combined with ignorant and lazy customers that don't take care of the paint, it's even worse.

They'll probably pull the, 'we're not going to take care of it until there's a hole through the metal' BS that I've heard of some dealers doing. Raise hell.

ah im going to check my subaru now havent noticed anything so far though. hope the dealer takes care of you being its an 08

yup go to the dealership especially since its new.

and make sure u dnt bow down to the dealership. they'll say w/e they can to not pay 4 it.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow might be hard to see though since it's small spots and black paint.

That is a shame. Trust me because I have worked at a dealership that they will be complete assholes about it. They like to jew you out of every dollar and not pay for it themselves. So my tip to you is be persistent especially if it is covered under warranty and do not let them take advantage of you.
