Loud Exhaust Ticket (NJ)
Ok, to make a long story short, my car is loud and I admit that. I got a loud exhaust ticket and HAD to go to court. I really just wanted to pay it but no biggie.
Now here's my question, the judge gave me a $300 fine! Isn't that a little steep!? I ended up paying $300 for the ticket and $33 court fees. So I payed $333 for a loud exhuast ticket! I figured the ticket would be like $150?!

The police don't set the fines the state does. Most of the time the Judge the can set the fine between a minimum and a maximum sounds like they gave you the max that car must be really loud. Maybe you should fix that.
