Speeding ticket
Well got pulled over today on the Doylestown bypass by a state trooper. He caught me doing 81 in a 55 and it was by radar. Anyway, when I go in to court am I able to plead not guilty but then plead guilty to a lesser sentence? How often would you say this works? I don't mind the fine, I just don't want the points.

If you plead not guilty you get a court date. When you show up usually the officer will talk to you and its up to him if he wants to change anything. He could very well wish to continue with the ticket he issued you or he could cut you a break. Its discretionary on the officers part whether he wants to do anything before you talk to the judge. If he doesn't want to do anything you can plead your case to the judge and if he decides he can lesser the penalty. Theres no set standard on how often fines get reduced or not.
