Its going to be the gtr killer. Also maybe cause nobody really bought an nsx in the first place. Its time for a change. Maybe they shouldnt even call it an nsx.

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I'd compare it to.

V10 is awesome, Honda should have done that a while ago. The AWD I suppose is the best drivetrain setup for the engine placement, I'm sure the V10 sits as far back in the chassis as possible.

This car is gonna be awesome.

I'm not impressed with the exterior styling at all (it kinda looks like the result of mating a new Eclipse with a 350Z) but I do like the sound of a V-10 engine in there as well as AWD. That things looks sticky as hell zipping around that track!

The crazy looking paintjob is there to break up the lines on the car so you can't get a good feel of how it really looks. I'm waiting until I see real pictures of it before I comment about how it looks.

yea its a cool car. but honda should of stuck with a true nsx, mid engine rear wheel drive and something that looks exotic

Bit disappointed to see it's not mid engine but oh well. Honda knows what they're doing. V10 sounds nuts.

I think the biggest turnoff for me is the AWD..real sports cars should be RWD IMO with no power assist traction control ABS bull****

edit: 3 pedals and a gear lever are nice too...**** the SMG DSG semi-manual nonsense its like they are making sports cars for people who should not be driving them, taming the cars down so any hockeypuck that walks into the dealer and drive like senna used to just because of the technology

No offense clean, but have you ever tried to put down 550hp without traction control? You'd have your ass end be your front end before you knew what happened. Plus, if it's anything like Honda's normal AWD setup, the car is RWD until it senses that it's starting to lose traction, in which case it will convert power to the other two tires in order to stabilize everything. I'm not positve on that, but it's how just about every production Honda AWD system is (although switched).

As far as the DSG style system it's for true racing enthusiasts. On the road course, the more time your hands are on the wheel the better. That's why Indy/F1/etc are paddle shifters, the technology is just starting to make it's way to the public that's all. Although I hope they come with a standard 6speed, I think I'll take a DSG 8 speed without complaint in that kind of car.

Honestly, I think this is all a step in the right direction for the NSX.

There is no need for traction control...cant keep the tires from breaking loose? Then be careful with your right foot. AWD system that senses stuff...that seems like a needless assist, again watch your right foot.

As far as hands on the wheel?? Plan your shifting and cornering and coordinate them. You cant compare cars like F1 to passanger cars, they have technology that we will probbably never experience.

To each their own, but like I said, I think sports cars are getting panzied down year by year.

I dunno man. I love having AWD drive in my WRX.....I know it's it's no 550HP dynamo but I'm still glad to have the AWD. More is More!

Im just a fan of the "keep it simple, stupid" philosophy. The less different **** you have in a car, the less problems you are bound to have.

front engine, rwd, lsd, 5 or 6 speed with a clutch, done...thats a sports car to me

They are being designed basically to what I think involves less effort by the driver to go fast.

Traction control lets you mash the pedal with no thought
Stability control lets you fly around corners with no though
ABS lets you mash the brakes with no thought
etc.etc.
So whats left for the driver to do?? Jeremy Clarkson was right when he said these cars are like playstations cause it basically takes the inteligence of a 10 year old to drive these cars now.

In all honesty, this grassroots bull**** is just one way of creating an elitist attitude. If I have a 500hp car it better damn well have traction control if I want it because if I am paying that much money for a new car it better not be spartan.

They aren't catering to you, the bottom end enthusiast that claims less is better. They are catering to the GT-R buying crowd that wants to be able to drive it when they want to and not have to worry about it being an uncontrollable animal in the snow if they want to use it there.

Hell, less is better for me too - i have no abs, ac, etc... but I at least realize that the target market isn't you. Its the older generation which doesn't mind a 500hp car in auto.
