yeah well it looks like i will be attending uti in august with 4 of my friends,were gonna be splitting rent somewhere, and with the sheet they give you the cheapest places are in west chester and i see there are a lot of pa guys on here,i def look foward to being able to go to some of these meets with everyone since i live about 3 hours from there now,il be there wit my 90 tsi,my friends sil80,others 88 trans am with an lt1 about to be put in and my other friends a4,pretty siked,and im def gonna need a job but dont wanna work at shoprite or somethin ha

ughh i hated UTI. biggest money pit ever. i ended up dropping out to salvage some of the money i invested into it and half the people i went with are making under 8 dollars an hour. (not trying to bring you down at all just personal experience) have you talked to anyone that goes/went there? they make it sound so fun when your touring but its not... AT ALL.

I also went to UTI. HUGE waste of time and money. If you have any knowledge of cars now, don't bother going there. They teach you like you know NOTHING about cars at all, more than half the time I spent their I was learning about stuff I already knew. When you do get to do hands on, it has to be on your own car most of the time, and even then they don't let you do anything big that takes more than a an hour or so because the next class needs to use the shop. There are SO many kids there, because either they got a free ride from the state or mommy and daddy sent them there just to get them out of the house, so they just cause a scene in the classroom all the time and give the instructors such a hard time that they can't teach anything. I think if the would do testing BEFORE you got into school and make sure you were serious it would be much better. The tour guides seriously lie to you so much and its NOTHING like they make it out to be. The best advice I can give you is if you already know a good bit about cars, don't waste your time at UTI, I've learned so much more working in a shop then I did at uti.

The best thing they did for me was help me find a job. I work at a dealership and make 16 an hour, its a flatrate shop and sometimes we are really slow so that sucks.

i personally hate the roads out here... and im not a fan of driving in the town on west chester... the surrounding area isnt bad tho

umm the worst part was that i wasnt really learning anything especially compared to the garage i was working at doing actualy hands on problem solving work. i guess its all about what you take from it but me and the people i knew that went there didnt get **** from it haha.

bad roads are something i know all about,i live 15 minutes west of manhattan, and cmr076 i have a great job now working at a porsche performance shop, ive debated where i would learn more already and it was a pretty hard decision since i love my job,say i already know how to do brakes,alignments,basic engine stuff and other things,think it would be a waste of my time?

there are a ton of uti kids that live where i am in millview apts, its pretty nice and quiet for the most part. plus it'd be nice to see another dsm in the area

yea dont even waste your money. I graduate from UTI on jan 4th, cant wait. I did learn a lot and now I am making great money, its all what you put into it. But it will be the worst year of your life. Waking up at 515 everyday sucks

just don't forget, that if you go for the cheapest in west chester, you will end up in the ****ty part of WC, and without a doubt your car will either get stolen or vandalized.......i know this b/c i lived in wc for 3 months....it only took 1 month for someone to break into my car
