The Monaro and the GTO are exactly the same, hence the slightly sloppy handling on stock GTO's. It was designed for australian roads, not states roads.

However, THAT particular one has much more done to it, though I can't find a listing of what it is.

(note: It's still just a 6.0 LS2 in the car, but there's slightly more done to get the VXRacing badge on it...besides the 19" rims, of course)

Ill explain: the Holden Monaro has been around for some time now. It was designed to be the Monaro so its a Monaro. The one you see in this video is a Vauxhall but its basically a Monaro.

My point is, taking a car, rebadging and renaming it does NOT make it a new car.

So that car is a Monaro and will ALWAYS be a Monaro not a G-T-O.

Exceptions to that rule is when the car is designed to be sold under both names. So if the car was built and AT THAT TIME, destined to be sold in the US as the G-T-O and overseas as the Holden Monaro/Vauxhall "xxxxx", it would be a G-T-O but it wasnt. They decided like 4 years later to sell it as a G-T-O.

Ask any old school G-T-O owner and they will tell you the same.

Yes, the people who know cars outside of the US names would know that, but for explanation purposes, it's easier to use what everyone sees it as.

I see. I just thought it was cool to see the car doing what is was doing. I know its a different car, I was just pointing out the obvious. Its funny, we have a GTO getting worked on in the body shop next to where I work and they have to wait a month for parts because they come from Australia. Sucks to be the customer! Anyway, sorry if I offended anybody(not really). I'm sure I didn't. Just seems to be a little tension there.
