my game plan
I was looking through the body styles and perticular years of the 240sx, and I came to my conculison of getting a 1992 or 1993 240sx s-13 hatchback. I am planning to buy a 1992 240sx s13 hatch. in a couple of months prob. around April or May. I am looking for a very clean and very stock 240sx. mabey some light mods. like exuast or intake. but nothing major. When I get it I figure that I will get all of the engine stuff out of the way. the stock engine in that year is the ka24de which all of you prob. know browesing around in the bnissan section.I plan on sending that in to be rebuilt and then forge the enternals and then bolt on turbo kit. (I want to run about 7-12 psi on a regular day basis.) After that I want to get the intake, exuast, the wheels body kit, paint, taillights, (thats pretty much my plan.) in a very non-deatailed description. I have been saving up a decent amount of money also about 6,000 so I figure 2,000-3,000 for the 240sx then 3,000 to spend on the engine then I can save up for the rest over time.
What do you think that I should do? is it better to get all of the engine stuff taken care of first. I want it too look good so the body kit os very tempting to get also. I want to get in to drifting also so suspension is also something that I need to look into. I guess that my main guestion is that... Once I get the 240sx what sould I do first to start my drifting off on the right foot???... ...ps. This will also be my daily driver getting me to school and to work. |

Or just buy this and clean it up a little.
http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...ad.php?t=42327 Or do what whitezenki said, but through tune-up on there as the first thing to do. Check the engine and everything else and make sure it's solid and will be reliable before you start throwing money at it.

Just to warn you...a body kit and new paint job isn't the best idea if you plan on getting into drifting for the first time. I would go with more subtle body styling and then maybe a paint job. Body kits get killed in drifting. I would use the money on something else first. But that's my two cents. And I completely agree with whitezenki. Creating power should be after you upgrade everything else so you can control it.
