New guy... well, girl here!

Hey, I'm new... obviously. I'm a pretty huge car fanatic. Ecpecially Hondas and Acuras. I actually work at an Acura dealer in Jenkintown. I'm in my third year in auto mech. in high school. We've barely learned s**t. By now we should be on engines and transmissions. Only reason I know this is because I saw the curriculum. We're doing safety... AGAIN. We had like, a new instructor almost every three months.
I don't have a car yet. To be honest I really only have my permit. I've been driving my dad's boat of a car for a while and I hate it. He's got an '02 Impala. You might not thik it's that big, but hey, I'm 5'3". I can't stand driving that car. I don't really like sedans 'cept for like, Subies and Evos, but I'm sure everyone agrees with me on that.
I'm looking to buy a car in January with whatever I have saved up. I've been looking everywhere and when I looked on here I wanted all of you to get to know me so I wasn't made a joke when I was ready to throw up some cash for your car. Lol. I'm gonna go about this as right as possible. I just wanted to get some ideas on what to look for and where to look, and I was hoping to talk to some people with the same interests as me. I thought this was the best place to go.
With that said, it was nice to meet TST

Haha, thanks for the warning. I'm used to it. The guys are always trying to pick on me and trying to make me look dumb. I just throw it right back.
I was kind of leaning towards a Civic, or like, a '95 hatch, maybe an Integ. strictly 5 SPD. Anything that runs or I could get running cheap. I may only have like 2g's to spend. I don't know yet I have a couple months. For now I'm just gonna look around and get some ideas.

Man, they're sooo expensive! The owner of our dealership (Eric Sussman) comes into our building every Saturday in his. I went into work one day and there were 4 in the shop. Not including his. I guess everyone gets their **** serviced at the same time.
My mom's a service writer there so she's driven a few of them. She doesn't like them 'cause they're too low and she's got a bad knee. I like them though. There are signs all over sales saying "Special Financing For Students On All Models EXCEPT The NSX." It's kind of like a slap in the face for NSX fans. There's been a lot of talk about the new one, but no word on when we're getting them in.

welcome aboard. if your looking for a honda/acura. i was always partial to the late 80's crx si's as long as theyre kept clean. theyre light as hell and you can drop a b series in pretty easily.

I was looking at them, if they're clean they're really nice. I'm kind of a neat freak.
