My Ride:
'05 Saabaru 9-2x

Ray @ TurboTekTuning Review

My 30k service was coming up for my '05 Saabaru 9-2x, but I wasn't looking forward to it at all cuz I didn't want to pay dealership prices, nor did I want to go to a local shop that wasn't familiar with subarus/saabarus.
So I searched around online and messaged Ray from TurboTekTuning, and it turns out that he's only 20min from me.

I gave him a list of things that I needed to get done:
1. Tranny & Rear Diff fluid change
2. Oil change
3. Brake fluid change
4. Coolant change
5. New STi tranny mount and Pitch Stopper Installation
6. Tire rotation

I dropped the car off at his place Saturday morning. It wasn't hard finding it cuz I saw the red Evo and white STi parked outside =)

I picked up the car later that night and to my pleasant surprise he had washed it for me!
He also cleaned the engine bay for a small fee. It looked cleaner then when I first bought it!
He also noticed that one of the hoses connecting to the intercooler was cut and peeling, so he replaced it with a stock one - I was probably leaking cuz of it.

Everything cost $220. Which I am very pleased with.

On Sunday when I was driving the car I noticed a clunking coming from the rear - it didn't sound good. Sounded like a bad strut or something. And I wasn't feeling good about driving the car. And since it was Sunday I didn't want to call Ray but I wanted to get this fixed ASAP...so I called and left a message thinking he'll get back to me Monday.
Much to my surprise he calls me back and tells me to swing on by and he'll check it out. We go for a little drive and he located the problem somewhere by the rear right wheel.
He takes a look under the car and finds out that my RSB bushing has dislodged. So he tightens it right up - problem solved!

So I just wanted to review a friendly local guy who does a great job.
He also tunes, so I'll be doing that in a month maybe.
So if anyone in the Philly area is looking for a good place to get work done, I highly recommend Ray at TurboTek.
You can reach him at www.turbotektuning.com or PM ray@turbotek.

Ray is seriously a cool guy. He was the one that tuned my Tc after getting declined by so many tuning shops and shops that overcharges out the Waazoo
