FREEDOM: Income Tax, Federal Reserve, & Future of America

I feel like I have an obligation to pass this on. Please, at your earliest convenience, watch this documentary (1h 51m). There is also an interview with the director, Aaron Russo (37m).

Most important thing about this documentary is about the tax and labor. So pay attention to that part.

Documentary: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...80303867390173

Interview: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...88777215293198

After watching, please state your thoughts, as these documentaries tend to steer around "the other side of the story", but I do not think that is the case here.

Pass it on.

I've been saying it for years after researching it myself. No one can show a law supporting tax on labor/wages.

One major problem is that most people elect to have TAXES TAKEN FROM THEIR PAYCHECKS!!! It sort of blinds a person to the reality of how much money is being taken from them, a little at a time. If the average person would choose to have no tax witheld, and actually had to write a check to the IRS, the tax would then be tangible and the average person would 'feel' the pinch and do something about it.

Personally, I like the idea behind the tax system. I just don't like the reality of where my $$$$ actually goes.....to waste.

I feel the pinch everytime I look at the difference between my gross and my net.

Interesting, very interesting indeed. Imagine the economy boost if we stopped getting 10%+ of our paychecks pulled from the government. American's would have a LOT more money to spend.

Seriously, the government has ruined the tax system, because although my car does not get any lower, the ride sure as hell is getting worse. (1 example...)

the fact that its not a law to pay taxes really got me interested in the movie. how the government make it seem like its a law but its really VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE makes ppl have fear because the government have the guns. but we really have voluntary compliance which means its up to u to pay it or not.

wakeup ppl! we gotta spread the word. watch the whole 2hr video. trust me, its worth your time!

The tax system is NEEDED. It just needs to be overhauled. Not just the income tax either. I also pay 1% Local Earned Income Tax...which I have no clue what that pays for, $1500ish yearly for property tax....my rental fees to the gubberment, if I don't pay it they evict me, $3500ish for school tax...I'm on the low side for school tax but it is still painfull.

When you do some simple calculations of each one of the taxes you pay compared to the actual budgets for the tax, there is usually a massive surplus of $$$$$ going somewhere. Someone, somewhere gets fat off of each tax you and I pay.

your school tax comes out of your local tax so thats ok. but there is trillions of dollars missing which the united states is borrowing money from these private banks that issue paper (money) and money is worth 4 cents for every bill. but the (federal reserve) that have our gold ( worth alot of money )held as collateral but we have no record of it being audited so we don't know if the gold is stolen or really exist. it may be a fraud to scare the government into thinking we still have your gold, u better listen to us. when we have no records of the federal reserve still having it. the banks are controlling the government and how the laws are being made so if we shutdown the federal reserve we get our power back because the ppl are the one's the have power in this country. not the government or private banks.

I never quite understood why we paid taxes when we got paid and when we buy something. We get taxed twice on the same amount of money. I understand it is somewhat of a balance due to tourism, but hell. It just doesn't seem right.

I don't really feel like watching this movie but i think the answer is simple.

1. Taxes are legal, 16th amendment.
http://www.ustreas.gov/education/fac...es/ustax.shtml
2. Taxes are needed. Are they put to correct use? No chance, but thats an entirely different conversation.

If you are going to say the 16th amendment wasn't properly ratified, well that really doesn't matter. The legality of the income tax has been challenged, all the way up through the Supreme Court. As we all know, the Supreme Court sets precedence. Since the Supreme Court deemed the law constitutional we are all stuck paying it.

the taxes are legal, but they are completely voluntary, its not illegal to not pay it.

I don't need to watch the movie. It is illegal to not pay income tax. Look into Supreme Court rulings. Or more simply, look into the tax law.

In 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment (http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitut...ndmentxvi.html) to the U.S. Constitution was ratified. It empowered Congress to tax "incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

Above means they can tax all incomes. You as a person have no choice in the matter, they have the power and the legal authority to take a percentage of your earnings. If you earn nothing, you pay nothing. So you do kind of have a choice, if you don't want to pay income tax, don't work, be broke. But, if you want to be a part of civilized society and have a job, those wages will be garnished by the federal government.

Also, if you do not feel those words are strong enough, it doesn't matter. There have been countless challenges to paying income taxes that have worked up the ladder to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has ruled that taxes are legal and the government has the ability to punish those who knowingly defraud the government of its share. This means that even if the law does not directly state "you must pay", the Supreme Court, by ruling that it is illegal to not pay, has closed that door.

ps.

your only protecting your right to know if there is a law. but there isn't, just ask that in court if u ever get into this situation. Show me the law that says i have to pay. just show it to me and i'll be happy to pay it. thats all i want, if u cant prove it that i'm not committing a crime because committing a crime is breaking the law and if there is no law saying i have to pay taxes than why am i in this federal building? thank you good bye.

In Northampton Township, the school tax does NOT come out of the local tax. I pay the following separately....School Tax, Earned Income Tax @ 1% soon to be 2%, and Local tax for trash, township road work etc.

Some days I wish I was an illegal alien living in a single house with 10 other families while paig for nothing.
