My mates cousin has been on holiday in Australia for a week and a half when him, his missus and their 15 year old son decided to go scoober diving. The guy is in the navy and has had some scoober experience.

His son wanted a pic of his mum and dad in all their gear so got the under water camera on the go. When it came to taking the pic the dad realized that the son look like he was panicking as he took it and gave the "OK" hand sign to see if he was alright.

The son took the pic and swam to the surface and back to the boat as quick as he could so the mum and dad followed to see if he was OK. When they got back to him he was scrambling onto the boat and absolutely ****ting him self.

When the parents asked why he said "there was a shark behind you" and the dad thought he was joking but the skipper of the boat said it was true and that they wouldn't believe him if he told them what it was. As soon as they got back to the hotel they put the pic onto the laptop and this is what they saw.

Not sure if it's real or not, but if it is just looking at the picture is scary ****.

well ive never been scoobA diving but i've snorkled and such and you can feel movements in the water. something that big wouldnt just sneak up on you without you noticing. plus for them not to have noticed, the shark would have had to make a complete u-turn, otherwise it would have swam right by them. im callin BS on this one. if its real, thats a lucky ass family.

And that's exactly the reason why sharks can sneak up on people. When they swim they hardly displace water.

i guess thats why shark attacks happen huh. oh well, it'll be a while before i decide to go surfing.

Not really.

Sharks often mistake people for other animals. Unless you're bleeding. Then it's your own fault.

A great white actually quite often mistakes paddlers for dolphins and the like because it can sense your magnetic fields from muscle contractions, and the smaller movements to stomach a board out will get you a quick smack.

Surface reflections are noticed on anything near the surface.

the pic looks good, but the story is fake as hell.
another thing.... that shark is the size of a whale. i dont think they normally get THAT big.

I hope your kidding. Compare it to the humans that shark is 20-25ft long. Probably weighs #6000+lbs. I'd still take it down, BEAR GRYLLS STYLE YO!
