Let me get this straight. You are at school for 7 to 8 hours a day for 3 days per week. Then you work for 20 hours per week

school = 21-24 hours per week. Lets just call it 23 to work with steady numbers

work = 20 hours per week.

That means you are busy for 43 hours per week. You think you have it bad????? The nicest words I can think of are cowboy up. Life gets a hell of a lot harder than that!

YOU should smarten up! You can't just add the hours like that because u have to factor in study time and time for homework. Chemistry is a pretty homework oriented major with a good bit of reading. That alone adds easily another 15 hours a week if not more.

Please don't tell me to "smarten up". Talk about ironic. I am just pointing out that many people have things so much harder. You say I should add another 15 hours to that, ok. That brings the grand total to 58. Try working in a factory 16 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week. BTW, I might not come off this way when you meet me or even read my posts. Believe me, I am quite highly educated. When the government pays you to approve all the working bridge drawings for a state, or anything even close to that caliper. Then and only then can you tell me to "smarten up".

I am not trying to put him down, just letting him know it is going to get worse before it becomes better.

just to play devils advocate here.. i believe the word you were looking for is "calibre"

so,.. what bridges should i be avoiding?

/agree that the OP is clueless about life. i did 20hrs of classes + 35hrs of work when i was in college, and now that im just working i put in no less than 50hrs a week(up to 66), at my MAIN job alone. not to mention the side work i do.

We are getting off topic here, but I have approved every bridge that is on a NJ state owned highway for the past couple years.

Haha, Mr. genius bridge man has "impecable" grammar. You just need to chill out. Of course there are going to be people out there who have it worse but that doesn't mean you have to put him down so much. I'm sure he is telling us his situation in hopes of some understanding or for in hopes of someone providing a postive post containing ideas for better time management. BTW I didn't realize we were back in high school comparing prestige.

Yeah he did make the choice but unlike most rich bastards living off their parents wealth people have to work through college to live!

Thats it and you are bitching about it? I took 24 credits a semester at Lehigh while also working 20-30 hours a week and still graduated with honors.

Now at work I have been working everyday including weekends getting in at 8a.m. and leaving around 1-2a.m. at night, tack on an hour commute each way and I am salary so all those extra hours are free work for the company.

I have to miss a bunch of races and have only been to my summer house once this year.

I wish I had a hard life like you.
