real quick question on lca bolt
alright so i was in the process of changing my springs and i cut my lower control arm bolt off because it wouldnt budge, it was stripped.. i didnt really have time to finish it and i cant find the exact bolt to replace it as of now..
my question is that i replaced it with a grade 8 bolt that is like half the size in diameter, but still holds it very tight in place.. what are the odds the weight will snap the bolt in the next few days? or will it probably never snap it? it is a grade 8 bolt.... thanks!

I would try not to drive it as often as u would, no hard turning, and no hard braking. take it easy, but try to get the right bolt for you control arm. i would give it at least a week and a half before the bolt start to fail. and what do u mean when the the grade 8 bolt is half the diameter?

i would not drive on it, they chose the dia. bolt because it could withstand the forces being applied to it. I don't think it would be wise to ride around on that.
dont forget every bolt has it breaking point even the right ones, and shearing point that a bolt that is half the diameter of the the proper one is much lower. i say no
