Israel has nukes, and all the West loves them, if Iran is able to get the power to attack them, it will immediately turn into a war of unforeseen scale... With oil and nuclear power threatened around the world, it will get ugly. and the Irani government is radical enough to attack Israel, the guy even says in his speeches he wants to wipe them off the map

i won't get to involved in this one, but;

at this point, i don't think invading iran would be good.

right now they're denying involvment in the iraq conflict ( although iraqi insurgants have been using .50 cal rifles that probably came from iran. then again, they're also using rifles we supplied them with )

the us has accused them of harboring shiaiahaihaihaihaihaihaih whatever the **** militants and proving iraq with roadside bombs

these are bad things. but at this point ( unless i've missed something ) havn't been proven, it's more important right now to validate these claims or find out exactly were the sources are. rather then invading, and asking questions later

none of those claims are what scares me, its the fact that if we allow them to grow in power both politically and weaponwise they will get all of the Middle east behind them and it will be a much worse invasion down the road. The costs of the Iraqi war will be far outweighed by this future one if notthing is done now.

i respect Bush b/c he doesnt give a **** about party lines or the polls anymore, he wants to do what he thinks is right, and stand by his MORALSSSSS, no matter what the cost to him or the Republican party. Yes its a little wreckless, but the US and world will be a safer place at the end of 2008 than if Gore had been elected 7 years ago

The supreme leader of Iran - Ali Khamenei - is who you guys should be worried about. Ahmadinejad is just like Bush is in this country. Ahmadinejad is unpopular in his own country because the Iranian economy is doing poorly. However, Ali Khamenei is who may be behind the shiite violence in Iraq.

As much as I hate to say this, I think the US should pull military forces out of these hell holes. We need to focus on protecting our own soil while keeping an eye on those clowns over there.

Most occupants of these countries want us dead for trying to end their problems/wars that have been going on for a thousand years

This guy is one of the most dangerous ppl in the world right now, its only the few diplomatic relations he has that are keeping him secure in Iran right now, but even those ties he is slowly ruining

you know whats really scary is this is widely believed among our military and government, even in boot camp the cadets are told that there is a big chance that we will be at war with China in very short time. Everyone thinks fighting Iraq and its small state is a big problem with too many costs, just wait until China and their billion plus are knockin on our door.

Iraq: if we withdrawal now, the whole country will fall into a civil war, and other muslim nations will take sides and escalate the war throughout the entire middle east. Suddenly all the oil in that area will be at risk, and it wont be just the US that will be going back in full force. Everyone thinks we can pull out and everything will work fine, but its not that easy. Oil makes the world go round, and if we leave it there in the midst of a civil war, we will be back very soon regretting what we did.

Iran: Same as above, but with nuclear consequences from Israel as well. They are not admittedly nuclear, but it is a widespread belief that they are.

China: Diplomatic relations could be worse, but i do see a definite "cold-war" like situation arising soon, and the arms race of that has already begun. I dont see an outright war, b/c both China and the US know its not the smartest way out, but you never know in the world today.

this is what will happen IMHO:

Iran 'attempts' to wipe Israel off the map
Israel hits them with 10x retaliation attack from our provided funds
We put troops in Israel to protect Israel, we put troops in Iran to protect Israeli troops

Also my 'opinion', I believe Osama and his cohorts are putting the idea in Iran's head to actually follow through with this, knowing full well it will destroy Iran and put Pakistan and Afghanistan as top powers in the middle east. Just my conspiracy theory

we don't ignore the UN there buddy, the UN sanctions countries that ignore THEM. And after a country is sanctioned 20 times or more, shouldn't someone step in?

Think about it...the UN doesn't have an army and the UN has NO WAY to enforce their sanctions. We do make our own rules, and whats wrong with that?
