I got my windows tinted 20% and i just feel like it isnt as dark as 20% should be, just curious to see if anyone has 20% tinted windows and would share pics thanks.

-didnt know where to put this thread so movie it if it belongs somewhere else

the color of the car and the interior changes how dark the tint looks alos... just an fyi

I have 20% on my rear windows and it looks something similar to the neon above, but i will try and post a pics for you asap.

Like DC Hunny5 said though its hard to compare tint in pics because it looks so different in different lighting.

i have 18% on the back of my car. it looks horrible right now, because i didn't clean the one window good enough and i still need vinyl on the back and the front isnt done but it doesnt look that dark... i'll post pictures when i get the chance

Try driving with 5% in Indiana. Most of the roads have no street lights. It is DARK.

I personally would not go any lower than 15% on the sides b/c it is a pain at night.

True, I had 15% on my supra and it was a litle hard to see at first but I got use to it. And the neon in your avatar looks about 20%. Sometimes it depends where you go some 20%'s are darker than others.

yea i think your right, b/c mine is 20% and i was comparing to my friend who has the same on her TC but her's looks so much darker. thanks again guys for responding!

I think tint is so stupid. You can't see anything when the windows are tinted. That's probably why so many of you guys get into accidents....

PLEASE, do not say that we all get in accidents. that seems like it's stereotyping us, even though you might not of meant it that way. I work at a tint shop, and we have everyone from brand new drivers to 75 year olds, coming in.
True, tint does take some getting use to. But it helps so much. i have a picture hanging in our office of a guy whose truck was hit by a mac truck, the only reason he does not have glass impaled into him is because of his tint.
Honestly, i don't think you can say anything about tint until you drive a car with it on it, day in and day out.

Staying on topic, some tint shops when you say 20%, they might not carry 20% and do the closest thing to it. Also, you need to think, tc's look darker because they are 2 door cars, and they have dark interiors. (i'm not sure if you do or not. so i might be wrong on that aspect.) What also contributes to the fact of the darkness is the size of the windshield and whether you got an "eyebrow" or not, because that front lets in so much light. Take for examples SUVs

But, it definitely doesn't help. I mean, I could be wrong. i don't have tinted windows. However, I have been in cars with tinted windows and I can never see anything. Lol
