I hate to be a downer but if the Z was a endless money pit of expenses, dont expect the EVO to be easier on the wallet. Soft tires, a weak stock clutch, Mobil1 oil, and 91 octane gas isn't my idea of cheaper expenses. But look luck with a sick car. Having worked for Mitsu and working on the Evo, Im wanted one since it hit the showroom floors.

91 octane gas isn't making or breaking your pocket...

2.36 for 87 x 12 gal = 28.32
2.44 for 93 x 12 gal = 29.28

if that .96 is hurting you than you should probably just start walking...

Mobil 1 is not that much more expensive than any other Synthetic Oil, maybe 5-6 bucks.

i can't find the article, but i believe it was Sport Compact Car, the Z actually costs more money a year in maintenance costs....

I can't speak for the tires or the clutch, lol....

If you are concerned about your warranty, then I would suggest you take it easy on the modifications to the EVO. Otherwise if anything does go wrong, you will have a fun time fighting with the dealer.

Good luck!

Useless? Ok buddy. Let me show you something..

Thats the guts to a EVO trans. I did a 5th gear sncro on it. All cash because Mitsu voided the warranty due to basic mods. Or I can show you pics from the 5 different Evos I did trans/t-case combos on. That ACD T-case is about 3000 for just the part. Its about 9000 parts and labor to replace the transmission and t-case on these. They dont take alot of abuse. So in the end, if it isn't stock, it isn't warrantied. Enjoy the new car.

They take plenty of abuse, but I am sure you are used to seeing lil jhonny whose daddy just bought him an evo at the dealer, coming in because his clutch fried or he broke parts trying to launch a week after learning to drive stick..I am sure you can agree that 90% of the time the dealer denies warranties because the writer is a jackass or the customer is, within reason of course..I have plenty of experience fighting mitsu service from the past, but have never ever had a problem with my evo..

Thanks, It was a very cool car it just spent more time in my garage or the shop than I would have liked.

The one thing I do like about 350's compared to EVO's and STI's is the top end speed for one, and there just more of a sexy car. The EVO reminds me of a Sedan on Steroids.

Good trade up! Evo is def a sexy car and way better then the vqueer motor anyday. 350z's shouldn't have a z in there name. There not sexy at all, just chick cars(sorry 350z owners).

Nice car man - love the shift knob. I know this is WAY down the road, but do you still have any of the Z parts listed on the first page for sale?

Let me know whenever...

Haha c'mon - you have to admit Z's are a little sexy, don't you think?
