cant you do that on i-tunes? i would expect i-tunes to convert it for you when you load the vid to i-tunes, if you can even do that. i dont have one im absolutely assuming here but thought i'd chime in.

you might have to change the settings in i-tunes to allow you to play that type of file and if not then i dunno. but c-net.com should have somethin that you can use http://www.download.com/Rippers-Enco...0.html?tag=dir browse around there, they should have something for you

Is there any kind of connector that has video outputs on it? I know the dock does, but that wont work in the car. Im thinking of compressing dvd's onto the ipod and connect that to the flip out, this way I dont need to bring the actual dvd with me.

I'm sure there's an endless amount of free programs you can download.

Yeah there are free programs but nothing that will give you the dvd quality picture. And the cucusoft is the quickest that i've used maybe like 20-30 min to transfer an entire movie.
