Looks like fun but you bouncing off the rev limiter isn't a good thing.

Yeah the six bolt swap is very easy! Just a couple of things to do. Not bad at all! If you go onto my profile and stuff you can see the thread I posted... all the wrench time ive put into my GSX. And see everything I have done. And pics and stuff.

So how do you like your STI vs your DSM?

I helped my boss do 6 bolt swap at my work a few months ago. The hardest part is the wiring and its not that bad. We also made a custom upper motor mount using some angle steel and part of the old mount. My sti is awesome but i just can't get over my love for eclipse/talons, the way the dash is setup makes you feel like your in a cock pit and i wasn't afraid to beat on them. If something breaks parts are cheaper and you can find them in junkyards.

Nice! I love custom stuff! Cos then your the only one who has it! Oh yeah DSMs are always around! I find that the 1gs have the more cock pit feel then the 2gs. I just love them in general. Ill never own another car! Other then an EVO 8 for an DD. haha!!! They can be cheap but pricey at the same time. Its all about if you know what your doing. A lot of people think ohhhh DSMs are junk cos they always break. Well to be blunt... no they don't always break... its the idoits who own them. I am very anal about my 2g. It fires up and runs every day of its life. Now yes ive had my fair share of BS problems. Blew my 7 bolt up. Went thru a couple clucthes for dumb ass reasons. Never go with puck for dsms. They dont last! The one spring fell out. Had a pivot ball break. A clucth fork. Mostly trans issues. Now the trans itself and entire driveline has 193k on it. Runs great. No grinds. Still a butter trans. Has its fair share of beating. Just doesn't like the parts to go to the trans haha! But for the cheap part.. yes they are cheap to make power. Put on a bigger turbo and injectors and a fuel upgrade and a tuning program and bam you got 400hp. lol.

You have a fb or anything? We should meet up some time since your in E-town. I live in Conestoga..right outside of Lancaster.

Just read your build thread, good to see females putting work into cars. My ex didn't want anything to do with getting grease on her hands.

BTW I live in Oxford, I pass near by everytime I go to school in State College.

The people that have all the problems with their eclipses are the ones who don't maintain them. You can't expect to beat on a car everyday and not have to replace stuff. Most of the blown up eclipses ive seen were run for a long time untuned or people run them out of oil lol. Yea who doesn't have facebook haha https://www.facebook.com/tom.howe2

Just a Chevy Avalanche and Ford Ranger. Ford is jacked up, Chevy is leveled. I was into cars before these vehicles but turned gears. I had a BMW before, I have a member journal for it. I am hardly at home tho, always at school.
