well i finally got my oem rs4 bumper from germany. after waiting several months for it to come by boat. the retards that shipped it threw it in a container and i got it and there is a nice crack down the front. its no big deal really as i contacted the shipping company and they are willing to pay to have it fixed. its mounted on my car as we speak. i need a body shop that will epoxy it back together and re-spray it. i went to several places, including master-tech (because everyone says their great) and they wont touch my car at all. they want to replace the whole bumper. im not waiting another couple of months. anyone know if any places that actually do body work? instead of just panel replacement? i cant find any! and they all say the same thing, they just want to replace it instead of repair it. i might take the job on myself as its not that hard to do. just wondering what your guy's thoughts are.

how come no one does body work/repair around here? they all just want to replace and paint. guess its easier that way

Yeah I know what you mean. It seems they just want to do the fastest route that would actually put more money in their pockets in the long run. If you wanted to drive down to middletown, you chould check out Wallis collision in middletown and when you do ask for Norm.

They repaired my friends R32 bumper that he put on his 03 GTI that was cracked in a couple different places.

cool, ill def check it out. i mean its not that hard to fix i just dont feel like taking the time plus its cold! and thats lack of motivation right there.

hey i checked that place out, they were still pretty high of an estimate, i mean 450 bucks just to re-spray the bumper? maybe its been a while since i paid for body work. any thoughts?

I thought there was repair that needed to be done as well? On my GXP I was quoted 1300 for a respray on my trunk lip and bumpers through another shop. I haven't went to Wallis yet.

nah, i did all that work myself to save some money, i guess thats a good deal. they said they couldn't get to it till the 3rd of jan.
