At the Trackdaze track day at NJMP's Thunderbolt track this past weekend, I had the opportunity to chase a modified NB miata around the track. The driver of the miata is pretty good and knows his car well. He has done several track days and finishes in the top 10 in raw times in his region for autoX.

In the past some of my miata owning friends said that I may pass them on the straights, but they will lose me in the corners. I guess that isn't completely true. I was shocked at first that he couldn't lose me.

Nice vid!! That NB is beautiful, and driven very technically. I wonder if I know him on the Miata boards...

You are also a damn good driver. You were the only person in our run group that I had to put effort into keeping up with. I think I was using my brakes later going into several of the corners, especially later in the 2nd day.

Thanks man. Yeah I need more track time for sure. I was trying to push the best I could. Any faster and I would of been on the edge lol. When is your next event
