it depends which RB you decide to go with. you could do a 20, which would be an easy swap. you need only a few conversion parts. you actually reuse most KA parts.

an RB25 needs nearly the same conversion parts as an RB26DETT like mine, but a 25 is a more direct swap. you use the conversion mounts, driveshaft, downpipe, etc etc.. but unlike the 26, you can use the transmission that came with the motor.

all rb26's are from GTR skylines, which are all ATTESSA AWD. you need to get rid of the RB26 AWD trans and oil pan and get a 25 pan and transmission, which is getting really hard to find, and very expensive to buy by itself without the motor. this is all in addition to buying the RB25/26 conversion parts.

check out all the Nissan websites are read the FAQ's and dig around a bit... 99% of all questions you could ever have about RB swaps are already answered. NicoClub.com is probably the largest and best overall Nissan site.


btw, you'd better buy that S13, don't even think twice unless it has a lot of rust or body damage. most clean-ish s13's are pulling $2500+, bone stock!

holy crap... alright fine I'll buy it haha. Its got like 110K on the body and 50K on the new KA that was dropped into it. I would obviously sell the KA to fund the RB swap.

Thanks and I am going to be looking at the car sometime this week. I know it needs a new windshield and left fender but thats pretty minor. I am just looking out for rust or water damage.

RB's are dumb. LSx is super awesome. SR's are good for doing stuff too.

I was going to say RB's are expensive to attain and modify. Plus belt driven is weak. Do a straight 8 out of a packard or something. Imagine how much exhaust flow those things have. Unlimited turbo options.

for the money you could spend swapping those super tight jdm engines. you could build one sweet as ka-t. and of course a sweet ls1 wouldn't hurt either.yeeeeyyyyaaaahhhh

so are you thinking about doing a different motor swap? If so I'll take your SR haha. Than I dont have to do the RB swap, I am looking at this car sometime this week.

I'm doing KA-T in mine... dont need anything "crazy" right now and as others have mentioned, for the $ just build up a KA unless you got the extra $ to spend. Regardless of the combo you choose, you will start having to modify the same things for high power.

imo, the bricks look better then the duals. plus, the duals had a broken tab so one of the headlights was just resting on top of the intercooler. it just gave me more reason to get rid of them. when i first got the car, i wanted the gt-r grill so i could get rid of the spaceship look of the silvia front end, but then i just took it apart and painted it. i think it looks way better then the stock looking grill and even better then the gt-r style grill. but you are right, the gt-r grill is to played out.

heres a lil evolution of mine, changed so far. cleaned the hell out of it, front bumper (minor fron end accident before i got it), rims and tires (got it with a doughnut and random aftermarket wheel), z32 seats (thanks zerious) , replaced the clutch, tranny fluid, put in a radio and speakers, refinished some of the interior pieces, its goin for paint next week (was hoping to pick up a kit before but seller fell off the face of the earth) so oh well. and researching/ buying turbo parts. my goal is a 300 whp car and still streetable. pics to come soon!!!

Btw all you kitted guys where are you getting your kits from. im looking for something mild/ not ricey!!!!
