BTW if anyone wants to continue these meets please feel free. They are a lost cause, only because the property manager of Lockheed doesnt want us there and the Imax doesn't want us in their lot either. Soooo that's why we are working on a new spot with permission and permits

After CheeseCake Factory I'll do a driveby. If anyone's there we will stop by for a few.

Thanks Steve. I really do appreciate the support man! This is for the better, we need to change up spots because of the lack of interest and no one feels like getting harassed by the police.

ShoDude, feel free to start your own, or just wait for us to get the New spot and join us there. This old spot is dead anyway. Trust me man. I would love to have u still help us out.

Jpalamar, how was it, was anyone there? I look forward to hopefully seeing u at the new spot. I'll announce it within the next few weeks.

Lookin forward to the new spot. The only downside is that as long as theres ricers with lead feet showing up, it won't be long until the meet gets shut down again. Maybe put signs up at the entrances to help inforce the rules.

Has anyone considered or spoken to the home depot across the street? It closes at 8 on Sundays and has a huge parking lot

Damn, hoping this gets set back up again in the near future. I've only made it down once before.
Our meets in Pottstown have declined since we decided to move from Carmike theater to the Weis to leave one borough to go to another borough due to leniency of the police.

On a second note, there's not many people who see our side of the story as car enthusiasts. All the cops nowadays consider meets staging points for street racing rather than a social gathering. Well, certain ricers don't help either. Anyways hoping this will be back in action soon, I'd love to stop by

That's not true at all.... Why does everyone think police are just retarded individuals. You need permission to have ANY type of gathering on somebody's property legally. It doesn't matter if your having a car meet or are organizing the largest recorded hacky sack circle.

Most of the time when meets get broken up by police, its because they don't have permission to be where they are(assuming nobody is being morons). The local PD is typically notified, and they are aware of when permission has been granted.

In the suburbs its not uncommon for 1 or 2 police units to cover large areas. Which is why sometimes meets are broken up, and sometimes they aren't (when people aren't being reckless).

Just go buy your own parking lot or plot of land and build a parking lot... Then you can be the one to call the police when people are congregating on your property. Problem solved!

One thing you got to remember too, property owners have insurance companies to keep happy and alot of times when they tell you youre no longer welcome its because their insurance company told them youre not allowed there. Believe me Ive been kicked out of plenty of meets that we had permission to be at and the actions of a few will get everyone kicked out. Thats mostly why I quit going to them because they always seem to end with the cops showing up. And no it's not a good idea to just go and start a meet anywhere theres a public lot. Just because its public doesnt mean you can go park 100 cars there and all hang out for hours. Theres also loitering laws you have to contend with. I dont think you guys realize how much work actually goes into planning a meet and should be thanking Steve for doing all the leg work.

That really wasn't my point, I never said the police are stupid but they don't always agree with a gathering of any sort unless they're someway approve of it or apart of it, the last thing they want is citizens to be in danger or any potential stupidity. The only real organized car gatherings are approved by the police, if they don't like the idea then you're SOL.

There's only 2 meets in Pottstown, and the other one people rarely ever show up, there's been previous drama that's that's not really needed at this point.
