Haha, I was just joking. Though, some Yamaha V-Stars look pretty sweet. And some variations of the Suzuki Boulevard. They tend to be less expensive than Harley's as well.

Triumph's are amazing! Great bikes. I love my VFR Interceptor though. Comfy for solo and +1, great mileage, great riding position, sounds amazing at idle and under load, and look pretty sick too I think. Plenty of bikes to choose from. Just get out there and see what feels right.

You want a harley? go to the dealer and check them out... IMO each bike comes with its own image, and its pretty easy to find your fit.

crotch rockets - You're addicted to speed to the point where you will kill your back and wrists in the most uncomfortable position ever
Harleys - your an over weight bearded bar going budweiser advocate that listens to skynard while watching the eagles lose.
bmws and other standards - you're all about riding in general... in the rain... in the snow... you're successful and know how to have fun.
ducati's aprilia's and other itialian bikes - you have style, class, and like speed without sacraficing comfort and rideability...

Just find a bike you feel comfortable on. Don't worry about the image thing vr4life talks about he pretty much described every stereotypical douche rider other than standard riders.

06 sportster 883/1200, 09vrod night rod special

iTrader: (0)
I bought an 06 sportster 883 to teach myself to learn to ride, after a bit got the motor built to a 1200. As much as people like to say oh harleys rattle apart lol, I never had an issue with my sportster. Then I test rode a vrod. Totally different harley. Its really what your looking for. Always liked harleys and the sportster is nice but I wanted a lil more speed and the vrod was what I wanted.

Not to start a pissing match, but from my experience, you should add something to the italian section: If you want to overpay for too little power and too much unreliability, this is the bike for you.
You can't get the sound of a harley from any other bike, but they are worse than italian bike when it comes to overpaying for too little power. I have a sportster, and have lost everthing from mirrors, tail lenses, bulbs and side covers to vibration. Would i get rid of the bike? Hell no, its cool, fast, and i built alot of the stuff on it, so its going nowhere.
Harleys just have an irrational cool factor about them, but your either like them or you don't.
When i want to go fast, i ride my gixxer, but when i want to cruise i hop on the harley and ride..... Scratch that, i ride the harley just as bad as i ride the 'zuk.

Big displacement V-Twins sound the same. My Dads Indian Spirit sounds just like any Harley out there.

My buddy just bought a Buell Firebolt. He LOVES the damn thing. 2nd one of my buddies to get one. While at the Harley dealer, IF they happen to have any, check them out. Sport bike with a bored Harley motor. Good combo.
