Old new dude

hey guys.

New to the site so i figured an intro is in order.

Originally from westchester, just got a house with a garage in central pa (danville). Been a scca guy for 7 or so years now. i have owned a few cars, the good ones i have put up here.

Right now i am paying the bills doing some part time chassis design & electrial work for a company that specializes in tubeframe custom jobs. I also do some light contacting and fix up 240s/sr swaps on the side. ocasionaly i get to do some consulting for a few small performance fab shops.

I have a website that should be coming online at the end of the month with a few products for the DSM and 240sx cround.

I design/ fabricate most of the stuff i put on my cars. i think thats more fun than buying other peoples designs. (also cheaper)

oh I thought I knew you. my mistake. Their is a guy who runs a red 2g, who is quite competitive in his class. i have a pic of him spinning out

why dont you come out and autox sometime as long as you have a few bucks and your car is safe enough to pass inspection you can have a good time.

I have a running bet with my freinds, I co-drive your car and if I cant beat your lap time I buy lunch. 8 and 0 so far but i would be happy to be beat buy some one. no bets on fwd cars though, ill be happy to co-drive but I not as fwd competent.

My schedule is very busy with school and work so i can not commit to any events. The times i did i had issues the day of and wasn't able to run. Eventually i'll get to it but it just hasn't worked out for me yet.

I make it to most Warminster events at some point in the day and like i said i usually take pictures (nothing to special) or video depending how the course is set up. I've seen the red Talon at multiple event as well as his old 1g. He can def drive, and i'm glad to see a DSM representing out there.

Please post some more pics of your cars. I'd like to see them as well as see if i have any videos to post up of you in action.

Since everyone seems to like pretty pictures ill post up a little more of the mr2 and then some pics of the other cars when i get around to uploading them. its seems i thought i had more pictures than i did. but ill get em up.

the wheel gap in these pics looks huge because it was parked on a crest.

some specs on the mr2:
EGR removed, TVIS Removed, CAT removed... other junk thrown out

head ported and pollished. stock cams and valve train, manifold ported and matched.
block bored .40 over
wesco pistons 9.0:1, shot peened rods, knife-edged crank. apr studs
walbro in tank, big injectors.. yada yada

ct20b at w/ dual stage controller @ 17 and 22lbs. dyno tuned by Virginia Speed to 317wheel at 17lbs.

rebuilt LSD transmission with act 6puck clutch.

custom turbo back exhaust with 1 resonator and two exits. 3 inch into twin 2.5 into 'larger than i wanted' tips.

some shinny stuff in the engine bay, greddy catch can, bov ect.

pretty standard stuff but the car really scoots on it.

obviously you can see the interior is a nice place to be. it started out as a all blue interior with cloth seats... ugh. switched everything over to black and had the seats done up in white leather. I love the look, but it was a pain for a while when i was doing contracting and that was the only car running. i had to either bring a change of clothes or a towel to sit on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA0_m5MIfZE

^quick video of the exhaust after i first got it done some time ago.

some DSM tom-foolery...

the cool part about all this, is these are closed roads too and from a mine that I have permission to use on snowy days. yea, its as fun as it sounds.

I got more, including how to take your car snow boarding and turbo sledding if you wanna see em.
