brembo brake calipers painted?

hey im asking this for my buddy. his brembo calipers on his evo 8 are chipping and chipping bad he has no idea what he can do to get it back to the way it used to look any suggestions?

One of my front calipers is like that too. Have him search over on evolutionm.net. There's a couple how to's. I want to re-paint mine one of these days, but just don't have time.

you have to strip the clear coat off and re paint completely. it's the clear coat changing color.

if he can find a spare set to take apart, take them to LPC like mike said. it'll last forever.

What they're not telling you is that in order to powdercoat them, you have to disassemble the pistons and everything. All of the seals have to come out. The OEM Rebuild kit for these things is like almost $300 bucks for all 4.

Just some food for thought. If you have the money, then do it, because the powdercoat will last forever but don't cheap out halfway through the process or you'll regret it down the road.
