Something I've been doing in my spare time - Painted Headlights

Just figured I'd throw these up here since I'm pretty proud of how they came out. Just painted and baked a set of EVO X headlights for a friend. Sorry for the crappy pics, but you get the idea. Involved a lot of taping, removal of the amber lense and a lot of concentration.

Enjoy.

As you can see, there are some rock chips on the lense, i'll be sanding them down and buffing them tomorrow to remove as much of that as possible.

Thanks for looking!

it depends. This guy wanted everything black, which included one of the reflectors.
It won't really be a big deal bc the HID is a projector and doesn't use reflectors to diffuse it's beam,
so in this case, no light would be degraded. If I was doing a car that didn't have projectors, I wouldn't paint the relectors.

Looks awesome. You ought to start doing HID retros and get a little side-gig going on, Bill.

Same with my wrx headlights. Tedious work but definitely worth it in the end.

VW kids do this a lot, it's called the Joey mod. Painting reflectors are a bad idea unless you have projectors like Carbonis said.
