well i got bored and got myself started playing around on one of those free forum sites.

been making up a little something for those of us tech and racing diehards that couldn't care less bout bobo's sticker-bombed wheels and blah blah blah's 500lbs boat anchor stereo system.

basically just tired of every site im on being stuffed up with a lot of all show no go bullcrap. (no offense to this forum i like it here and you take the bad with the good) just wondering how many if anyone here feels the same way as i do? If so maybe everyone can provide some input for me

not really all that much effort. slow day at work and im just screwing around on the computer anyway ive probably got like 2 hours into it, 2 more and it should be presentable. and thats me taking my time and doing it in between phone calls

Why not just go to Yellowbullet, or honda-tech drag racing forum, or racingjunk.com or the other million sites that are dedicated to racing?

because i wanted to do it my own way. i have nothing invested in this but a little of my time.. if people like the idea then awesome maybe ill put some money into it if not then no harm no foul.

Nice idea but not me, i think it gets boring talking about 1 subject only (racing). This is why some forums like this mix it up to keep it alive.

well its not just racing, its also modding.

i just want to get away from the countless... "which wheels look better" and other threads of that nature...

i also didnt want to have a swear filter or have someone cry a river every time the words street and race are uttered in the same sentence

I think that they get touchy with street racing because if it's on the forum it can be interpreted that they are condoning it, which may have some sort of legal repercussions... just a guess, idk

you are probably correct, however its one thing to have it in the rules and another to have a million members not even mods jump on somebodys ass for saying "hey i raced this guy the other night"

now if they were to post a thread like "street races tomorrow at chuckie cheese" i would probably close it and call them all retards

Stop being so pretentious.

Being fast isn't everything, and it's definitely not very practical on the streets. Considering nearly everyone on this site DD's their car, and most only have the one car, I don't see anything wrong in placing more emphasis on making their car look good rather than dumping money into power that can't really even be used on the street.
