trying it next week cars get nuts on the lake, best part is legal, however insurance does not cover being on the lake..

wow 4 feet of ice is a lot! ha ive driven my car on a little man made pond that was like 5 inches of ice. you could probably drive a tank on that

We ice raced in Colorado with an organization out there and if I remember correctly the ice had to be at least 18" thick for us to be allowed to bring our cars on the ice. We had 50 - 100 cars on the ice at a time, parked in roughly the same area so its strong.
What you guys need to do is find an ice racing league up that way... its AMAZING fun. Any AWD car, even slow and stock, can be a blast out there. You can only use 10% of your hp out there anyway, its all about finesse.

i would take my car out on it and have a blast ray. my cousins wife is from buffalo and they have a man made lake in their back yard and they do that **** every winter.
