Running new, or replacing fuel line?

Is there a chance that anyone here as ever replaced or installed new custom run fuel line into their car? Running the line isn't the hard part, its trying to make those custom ends that either screw into a fuel filter, or onto a fuel rail? How the heck do you make those custom ends on fuel line? Is there a special tool that somehow "crimps" these screw type ends? I know they sell flanging tools to make different ends and all, but this doesn't help for screw on ones. Any help or tips here guys?
