Thunder @ The Glen The S14 in action at Watkins Glen Raceway

The 240 performed awesome! I can't believe how much a difference
adding another 1.5* of camber up front did to the car!!! No hiccups or anything - the meth injection made a great improvement throughout the day, but the cold weather also helped.

Only thing is, now with the run group than I'm in, every single
person in there has R compounds or Slicks. So it pisses me off to no
end when they 'grip' where I slip! I also only run 10 psi because of
it as well. Nothing worse than pointing people by in corners simply because you can't keep in the hammer due to a **** street tire.

FWIW (for those who've been at the glen): I was a tad over 6500 RPM in 5th gear on the back stretch..that translates to a smidge under 150 mph via calculators. I'd be tagging the 4th limiter in the turn and stuff it in 5th...which is a bitch shift as you're fighting momentum to the outside. I'd probably top the car out with my medium (15) psi setting. Yowza! I know on the front stretch I hit the limiter in 4th (128/130ish) and coming out of the boot I get near it as well.

Some pics: Please don't mind the dirty car. It's usually glossy black...it rained on Friday as I was trailering it, and I could give a F less about it looking good at a track day.

Thats a good tire IMO. Very nice and great price!

Great pictures! Stop blaming it on the tires An M5 is NEVER in the wrong gear on the track due to that silly crazy sweet trany! I had to beat my car up pretty well to pull away from an 07 M5 last time i did a track event. The can move if set up correctly!

NICE nice a$$ CAR OP!! But its not gona beat some of those cars around ..... especially the GLEN! You NEED much wider rubber also. Whats on there, 225's????

To be quite honest, the 595 RS-R has performed better than both the Ventus Z212 and the Azenis (old and new). It doesn't grease as bad, and seems to put the power down better in corners.

I should just blame it on myself for being a cheapass and not having slicks haha.

I had him decent in the infield, but no chance (300ish whp versus 400+) on the straights

Haha, For a car on street tires, I do find myself passing people in better cars on slcisks...so it's not 'to bad' as it sits -- I do drive it fairly hard...but with a 4.6 final drive and a fast spoolign 300 hp (low boost) it's a bit much on a street tire.... If I was a mad man I'd double the boost and run real gas, and put R6's on it and spank on most of them. Mmmm, 430-450 whp with real tire no weight and no worries...that's a badass combo. But then again, it is just a street car, and I refuse to run race gas for a track day, and 10 psi is plenty fun :D

Over winter I'll be looking for a 265-275 slick...should be perfect for the car.

Wana buy an STI with 430 extremly reliable AWHP with all needed suspension and break mods...if you can drive well, you can easily spank those cars!
