I'm all for Carbon fiber but I think if you get the hood you should paint it.
Maybe leave a small corner unpainted though to show the pimpness ..

^ above has them for your car if I'm correct.

wether you get it or not you should paint it. Bare carbon fiber is tacky and I thought that trend died 10 years ago.

Or so says the guy with a big ass bare carbon fiber wing on his car. So who am I to say anything. LOL

Rice = unpainted. CF that is painted =pimp cause you don't have to point out you have a hood.

I personally like the look of a CF hood. I have one, although my car is black. I also have one for the element, which is orange. I think it looks good if you can tie it into the colors of the car.

But it's your car, do whatever makes you happy; that's the whole point.

I'd say either paint the whole thing or find something that looks good where some of the hood is painted and some of it is not. I've seen it work on different cars before.

Get one, and if your hellbent on paint...paint the whole hood but cut-out the M flag that gets thrown from the hood to the fender.

You know what would be interesting, and I don't know if its even possible. But if you were to paint a carbon fiber hood the color of your car, leaving only the outline and odd squares carbon fiber, as to make up the BMW checkered flag across the left corner...

Edit: Guy above me said that same thing? Didn't see that...

ok im not gunna quote everyone but thanks for all the replys.
i was never set on a CF hood but it does compliment the color of my car. as far as the much cf?? idk lol. i was just getting a deal on it so i thought about it.
as far as getting it painted that defeats the purpose for my buying reasons lol. i show aften so i wanna get some style points with out being kinda rice. but i did always think about leaving the center cf and painting the sides of the hood. buuuuut my car is clean i like it clean and simple.
hahaha and for the "M flag" ????? for 1 its not an M so id get ripped on hardcore and 2. like i said my car is simple so something like that may be a litte to busy for the rest of the car.
well tahnks everyone for your opinions i dont normally ask for them but you guys did help me out. if i could get an even better deal (straight from VIS like where this hood is from) then ill get it aint paint it mostl likely.
thanks again

Nope carbon hoods are worthless especially the ones people buy specifically for show since they are cheap mostly fiberglass hoods that fit like trash

Brand means nothing. I suggest you consult with Nikita before doing anything E30, he is by far the most informed BMW owner I know and if he doesn't know he can sure find out.

Personally I'm tired of seeing CF everywhere, it's starting to look cheap and tasteless IMO.

Why did you even make this thread, it sounds like you weren't planning on getting it in the first place.
