Impo Performance... SUCKS!!!!

I know IMPO is not a Vendor on here, but I figured i would warn and let people know of my experience.

Well just in case people are not aware of this please DO NOT ever take your car to IMPO Performance in Warminster. Even if its for an oil change, DO NOT DO IT.

They did some tranny work for me a while back and my tranny started making noises shortly after they worked on it. Lets forward about 6 months head to now, where it took my car to have my tranny looked at, and guess what. Awesome IMPO when they were putting my diff back forgot to put one of the bearing back... FML!!!!!! YES they forgot to put a bearing back into the trans, which cause another bearing to split and crack. SO now I need a new diff, new 3-4 shift fork, and a whole bunch of other **** and bearings.

Also I had them work on my Microtech cold start settings (this was at the same time they were doing the tranny), and they also tuned my car with amazing A/F's of 14.7-15.3 at full boost at 10psi. With those A/F's my engine would of lasted maybe a week, good thing I check my wideband and didn't blow the motor.

ALSO, my buddy who had his turbo RSX type s tuned there got a nice phone call when they told him they blew his motor when they tried boosting 20psi on the stock block.

In the end just take your car and work to RT Tuning or one of the other reputable shops. I mention RT because they did a good job for me.

Where did you take your transmission for evaluation? If they found a bearing missing I would get that in writing and then take it to IMPO. Have you contacted them and did you give them the chance to rectify the situation?

I took the car to northeast transmission on torresdale ave. I don't think I would want IMPO even looking at my car considering they cant seem to do it right. However I wouldn't mind them paying for my new bill which will be nice and fat.. ;(

I wish more people searched before taking there car somewhere. I had a bad experience with them which was enough for me to realize that the shop is a joke. Since then i've seen so many bad write ups its ridiculous.

Its sad, cause they were doing $1800 clutch job on a EVO, and the customer supplied the clutch... The reason they said the labor was so much was because it took them 12 hours to replace the clutch.

I realized something last night...

There is a kid in my development with a black civic. I saw awhile ago he had "IMPO PERFORMANCE" across the back bumper. I didnt realize it was a shop until yesterday. Anyhow that civic blew up haha

I live in NE Philly... I haven't driven my car for about a year now cause of the tranny issue so it probably wasn't me. It might have been Justin, he also has a blue MSP and he is closer to warminster than I am.

Which MSP do you have?? Ive seen a few titanium and silver ones around here.

yea I've heard all bad things about IMPO, I will admit they installed a shifter and bushings in my one friends ITR but that was 3+ years ago and they didnt **** it up, but they charged out the ass. I would never take my car there.

I've only been there once in 2006. I rode in an RB25 swapped 240 that was there and it ran like ****... Rode like ****...

Video

The swap was messy as hell too... and I didn't know much about them back then. Their pricing was way high too.

That could have been me but i sold my MSP over the summer. After selling i started seeing a stock Ti msp around with a dented driver fender.
Mine had black powdercoated racing harts and dark tint.

A friend of mine got his safc installed there, and lets say it only worked when it wanted to. He would be driving and hit a bump and the safc would just turn off and the car would stall out. Like the others posted before, if you wanna waste your time and over pay for a job that will never be done right then IMPO is the place for you.

I found out the hard way and $2200 later.
