buying a new coilover setup

well i have had ksports on my integra for about 2 years now and been riding pretty low on them and around the 2 year mark the rear struts began leaking real bad. well now the struts are pretty much blown to **** in the rear. so im thinking of getting functin and form coilovers but i wanted to know what some other clean slammed honda owners or anyone riding slammed are using. this way hopefully i dont fall into the same problem i did with the ksports
thanks chris

You should look into Koni or Buddy Club's. I have heard they both are good coilovers. Also do you have any more pics of your integra?

Koni, to my knowledge, only produces struts, not actual C/Os.

Let me try this again. I just addmitted that I was wrong, and that you were right in the idea that Koni made coilovers.

dont do gc/koni,spend a few extra dollars and you can have full coils. Theres a sponsor on ht selling type 1's for 630 shipped,i just bought a set of buddy club n+ spec 16 level of dampening coils without the pillow mounts for 750 shipped

im not to worried about the adjustable dampening bc i think thats what got messed up with the ksports when i had them. they are 36 way adjustable dampening and its just a crazy mess tryna to set them all to the same dampening. but yeah thanks i foound those function form type 1's on another site for the same price so i may go with them.

koni/gc are better than pretty much any full bodied coilover that is reasonably priced. i would go with the koni/gc route. if you really want full bodied look into PIC performance. They are a great company and track test all their products.

where i think koni/gc has the best advantage is in the fact that both the koni shocks and gc coilover sleeves have a lifetime warranty. so if something blows 2 years down the road your covered.

just my .02 cents

I've heard good things about Form and Function/Function and Form coilovers for tegs. If you can get a good deal on them, then by all means, but like Marecco referenced, when the F&F shocks go in 2 years, you have to buy a whole new set of coils - unless you just drop in a replacement shock which won't be valved the same.

And just to clear up the Koni/GC idea, simply because I've been doing a LOT of research on the subject:
1) The GCs are not simple a spring, its a coilover sleeve system with adjustable height and you can also get extended top-hats for them. This setup is a coilover in essence. Really the only thing additional you get with coilovers is the upper mount, which sometimes its better to retain the factory mount.. And this is where the top-hats come in handy too.
2) the GC springs are availabe in a variety of custom spring rates specific to your application. Ie. they have ranges of spring rates to choose from for tegs.
2.5) The GC springs are made by Eibach, pretty much one of the best spring manufacturers in the world, do you know who makes the F&F springs?....
3) The Koni Yellows are street and track proven for YEARS and years to be a great strut/shock for this chassis. Plus, again like Marecco said, if they blow you can have them rebuilt and even re-valved w/ custom rates.

so if the gc/koni setup sounds like a really good deal due to the lifetime warranty. how do you sign up for the warranty? and what do the extended top hats do? also am going to have the same range of height adjustment as i would with coils?

does anyone know a website where i can get the gc/koni setup and figure out what spring rates would be best?
