So, I have been stuck in this dump we call Iraq for a little over 10 months now. Anyway, I felt the need to modify something and saw this poor truck sitting there, nobody took care of it, nobody drove it, so I took it.

First thing was to tint the windows, 5% seems good and don't worry, the bubbles went away in time.

How about some LED headlights?

Then I sprayed the wheels and grille black.

I gave up after that, I was going to put a BOV on it, but two problems; one is it's a N/A engine and two, a BOV won't work on a diesel anyways.

About 6 weeks left in this place, I have two half cans of high temp flat black, thinking about hitting up the exhaust with it, maybe the intake pipes too, but oh well, it was fun.

LOL, thanks guys and yeah, I am bored out of my mind at this point. I was actually going to paint each bolt head on the armor plating, I am not that bored.

LOL that thing is awsome. I always wanted one of them. Some guy by my house like a month ago was selling one from i guess the Vietnam war. but 9k was a little to much for me. lol. And also like everyone else said. Keep safe and keep yourself occupied. This country owes people like you a great debt. Thank you for your service. Get home safe.

Thanks again for the well wishes guys, no need to thank me though. I know if it came down to it, any one would do what they could for their country. Well maybe not Cowboy fans, lol.

TekuDrifter, you can pick up old deuce and a halves (the above truck is a 5 ton) for cheap! I found them on Craigslist near my normal duty station for 3,000 bucks. They are usually stick shift too, which is awesome. If you really want to find one, let me know, the Army sells them with low miles for cheap.
