Almost the same. The IX comes with a 20g turbo and a new front bumper. Not to mention it puts down 380whp on a turboback, o2 housing, and ecutek tune. The VIII puts down no where near that w/ cams.

I heard they responded even better to mods, but I had no idea it was even near that well. And I'm suprised I didn't know they came with 20G's, that's a huge advantage over the XIII is modding terms if you don't want to lose the stock turbo.

Great looking car too.

Yea. The VIII only comes with a 16g. If you compare a IX and a VIII with the same mods, ie turbo back, o2 housing, and ecutek flash, the IX ends up putting down over 50whp more. My friend used to own a VIII, his mods were turbo xs front mount, o2 housing, tubular manifold, cutom ported 16g, hks 280 cams, turbo back exhaust, boost controller and he only made 340whp. Coop's evo (rjsdxm) got tuned the first time without tuning the mivec at all, with a bad intake and no fuel pump and put down 332whp. He is getting retuned with the mivec this time, arc intake box, and fuel pump. The tuner says 380whp no problem, especially after seeing the other dyno numbers for the IX's all over evolutionm.net.
