I was wondering what are the age requirements / requirements of riding a moped on the street? Also do you need registration / inspection at all? because im turning 16 soon and would like to, if possiable to buy one and ride it bewteen my permit to my lincense. thanks in advance.

If it goes on the street it needs registration and insurance, 49cc and less require a regular drivers license and above 50cc needs a motorcycle license

specific reason you want one? top speed is only like 20ish on them dont know what the roads are like where you live but down my way that will get you stopped they arent safe to have on regular roads

Just something cheap to get around til the cars done. And youd be surprised. Some peds like the avanti's and the Targa LX's, both are 49cc's, can both do around 35-40ish. And the moped will be used just for back roads. cause we dont have alot of main roads around here.
