Ideas, help? Coilover disassembly issues.

Placed a warranty claim with K-Sport last month, One of my rear shocks decided to eject their contents all over the asphalt under the rear of the car. I received the replacement struts, but I've had some issues disassembling the rear shocks.

The orange lower mounts are seized onto the threaded shock body, and I can't break them loose. Granted, I should've disassembled them before installing them on the car and anti-seized the threads. Hindsight's always 20/20.

The main issue lies with getting a hold on the strut so I can apply some leverage to the lower mount and break it loose without damaging anything. I've tried putting it in a vise with a rubber sleeve around the shock to prevent any marring of the shock body, but I simply can't get it to grip. I've also tried applying a little penetrating fluid, but it's only reaching the top few threads.

Does anyone have any suggestions as far as what might work, or somewhere I could take these that might be able to help?

BTW: I don't want to hear any anti K-sport comments. Save it for somewhere else.

so you just need to hold the orange body, to loosen the orange locking collar at the bottom. Stick a piece of solid stock that fits through the eye-hole mounts into a vise, then side the eye-hole over. They have limited movement and should stop it from rotating.

That's what I've been doing.

Still can't maintain a solid hold on the body of the shock.

Soak the shiat out of it with PB blaster, let it run down into the threads and let it sit for some time. Mine seized for a bit, could not get them to crack loose, used PB blaster , let it sit and it finally broke loose.

so the body doesnt rotate, it just isnt stable? If thats the case, also try to ratchet strap it to the vise, that way the shaft thats actualy clamped in hte vise stops it from rotating and the ratchet strap stops it from moving up/down/around.

No, it's stable enough to put some leverage on it, I just can't keep it from rotating in the vise.

Also tried PB blaster, problem is, it won't reach all the threads.
