I searched and couldn't find one, so I decided to make a 2008/2009 flyers season thread.

Don't know how many fans there are on here but damn... the flyers have been KILLING it lately.. Carter, Gagne, Richards. The entire team is doing amazing!!!

12 short handed goals thus far, closest team has 7. Flyers have 6 players with 10+ goals, the most of any nhl team. They have scored 21 goals in their last 4 games!!

LETS GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!

they killin it lately. i was at the game on saturday that **** was ridiculous, glad they turned around the season. 0-6 start to first in the division...so nice

edit: just realized u said pretty much the same thing

The flyers are really on a roll, I just wish briere was healthy... I really like him (no homo) even when he played for buffalo.

Been a HUGE fan since I was 8 and I'm glad to see they are finally consistent lol.

I'm a Sharks fan for no particular reason... got into them when Owen Nolan was still playing for them.

I watched the flyers game a month or two ago where the sharks beat them. I haven't been paying enough attention to it to really in the last couple years to really know how they're doing apart from that...

Where's Briere going to fit in? The team has been so solid without him. I dunno what line he's going to go back on.

i was talking with a few people yesterday about this, i was saying ... trade briere (even tho he is my fav. flyer) and biron for a top 5 goalie. thats what the flyers have been lacking for years... get a good goalie and we can make a run for the cup.

Eh, I think the Biron/Niity tandem is fine. Niity has shown up every game he's played. Biron has been coming around before this flu situation. I don't think you're going to see a Briere trade, I don't think that's a good idea because he works so well with Gagne.

the flyers have such scoring depth, that even with briere out of the lineup they score 5+ goals a game almost. hartnell has 4 hat tricks this year, carter leads the nhl now in goals. the have (last i heard) 8 players with 10+ goals. the flyers dont need anymore scorers they need solid defensemen or a solid goalie.

biron is "ok"... but i wouldnt trust him for a stanley cup run. same with nitty.

BTW - 7 to 1 flyers ... the scoring is insane lately.
