TST - I need your help!! Pit Bull needs a home

TST,

I recently sold my house and moved into an apt. Well my apt doesn't allow "pit bulls" so I have to find a good and I mean good home for my Diddy in the next 2 weeks. The people who bought the house were nice enough to let me keep the house for an extra week and a half so that I could finish taking the stuff out and keep him in there.

Fun Facts about Diddy

1. He is 1.4 years old.
2. He is housebroken.
3. Loves to be outside and go for long walks
4. Loves to take a bath and be in swimming pools, creeks etc.
5. Is trained with a can. Literally. I do not believe in hitting dogs or abuse, my dog is trained with a tylenol jar. Show it to him when he is doing something you dont like, call his name and shake it once he will lay down wherever he is at until you tell him its ok to get back up.
6. Gets along well with other "PASSIVE" dogs. If your dog has any sort of aggression, he will return the favor. Spanky (my 4 year old jack russell) and Diddy were always together since I got Diddy. So he has been raised with other dogs.
7. Great with kids. I have a total of 6 nephews and nieces, all under the age of 12. They cried when I said he had to go to a new home.

Bad Facts about Diddy.
1. Snores like a old human, literally.
2. Likes to eat. Goes thru a 20lb bag every 2 weeks and will only eat with wet food.
3. Really likes to be outside. He will go outside in a second if you leave the door open etc.
4. Still has the habit of jumping on you here and there. He weighs close to 50lbs, so it gets annoying at times.
5. He loves attention. Whoever takes him has to be willing, able and ready to give him lots of love. He is used to being with me everywhere I go when I get home from work.
6. Is not neutered

In short. He is a super good dog and had it not been for the rules here which are just about anywhere I looked I would be keeping him. I just need to find him a good home. I will post pictures of him later.

He is an American Staffordshire Terrier. Has all his shots, however he will need some upcoming again when he turns 2 in January.

Please help me find him a good home where they will keep him till the day he passes. Just want my little boy happy and taken care of. I know he will give you back triple the love in return.

Well wrong section... this is for the networking, probably.. Have you contacted any bully rescues or no-kill animal shelters? If you need help, I can make some calls for you.. if you wanna shoot me a PM, I'll be willing to help. I strongly encourage you to PLEASE have him neutered before you re-home him.

As Jul said, I would try and get him into a rescue. An unneutered PB is not a good thing to be giving away...

+1... a person like Vick the Dick could get a hold of him and just start breeding dogs to fight.

On a side note, my parents own a dog that is a mutt of sorts but has Pit Bull in here (as well as Rott and other things). It is, by far, the most loyal dog I have ever seen. She is about 15 now and has troubles getting around every now and then but I swear to you, start screaming like someone is hurting you and she will get right up and start jumping around trying to protect you.

It makes me a sad panda when I think in the next year or two we will probably have to put her down.

I just got a house and I’d love to get a dog, but with two cats and my back yard being an elementary school, a pit bull would be too risky.
