Some different "Birds"

Warbirds to be exact. Here are a few shots from this weekend's WWII re-enactment in Reading. It was my first time at an airshow and it was a blast. All were with the D3 and 300 2.8 or 70-200VR handheld.

Mother F*cker... Barry was right! I wanted to go to this badly when he mentioned it at Formula D. I totally forgot to look into it. Are there anymore coming up?

I agree with Grimm, the Corsair is sweet.

This on-board shot is great! And the Spitfire is simply amazing. Thank god for the guys that fly, restore and maintaining these birds.

^ Yes, thats a P51D D designating it is a bubble canopy. The P51 had a few different variants. Tom Cruise owns one as far as I know. The coolest one still flying is the Big Beautiful Doll P51.

yeah, the last model of it i believe. heres a few more.

the supercharged RR merlin v12 sounded so different and exotic compared to all the other radials there, from what i remember. impressuve for a 65 year old airframe.

edit: on a side note, facebook sucks for uploading pics. they look much better on my computer. might change them to flickr
