what are the goals of your car suspension wise? comfort? handle like crazy? just look good? the more detailed your response is the better we'll be able to help you.

If your gonna spend around $800 for springs and shocks you might as well get some Tein coilovers.

the two things you are looking for are polar opposites. 'slamming' a car to the ground will pretty much work against all of the other suspension components i place and make it handle horribly. if its the look you're going for then fine thats up to you, but there is indeed such a thing as too low.
you can lower it a bit and gain performance, but at the cost of comfort. a lower stiffer spring will make the cars stance look better and it will handle more firmly, but that whole firm thing also will take away some ride comfort.

That spring rate seems extremely stiff.

i know that the honda guys who autox and road race run some REALLY high spring rates on one end or the other, but for street applications 11kg/mm front spring and 9kg/mm rear springs is going to be ridiculously stiff IMO

if you want to get you car VERY low and still be comfortable and safe, you're going to have to get a set of coilovers (not sleeve-overs) that have a thread shock body that can be adjusted up or down w/o adjusting the spring perch. by purchasing a set of coilovers that have this set up, it will enable you to lower your car considerably more yet still retain FULL suspension travel

here is a picture of the type of coilover i'm talking about (in case i didn't explain it that well)

Daniel

Those spring rates are like Nextel cup cars... that will be STIFF for your Civic there.

I have heard of a lot of Honda guys using this combo and they have said they are great. Hey Ren have you used these before, if so how are they?

36 way adjustable? what!! Damn must be better than the tein flex's since mine only came with 16-way adjustable dampening.

THIS IS TROLL POSTING ON IVANS NAME

subwrxkid - do you use all 16 of your adjustments? honestly all of those small adjustments really arent necessary unless you're on a race team and you're doing constant test and tune. i have the tein flex with 16 way adjustable and guess what... i use 1, 4, 8, 12, and 16 and thats it.
civicboy - what springrates do you plan to get? i'd really not recommend going above 6k on the rates unless you plan on tracking the car regularly. i have 5k/5k and my car is heavier than yours and its a pretty stiff ride... a much more serious suspension setup than most others around here.

I dont remember me ever stating that I use all 16 levels. I simply stated thats what the tein flex came with. I was comparing the two suspensions since he said the ones he was getting came with 36 way adjustable dampening. Im not sure were you got me using all of my levels and using it to road race from? I guess take try to take a look at my post again.
