Question Continuous Lighting Studio Kits

I am looking to pick up a studio lighting set-up/kit. I don't really want to break the bank. But i don't want something that will be cheap and break and fail after 2 weeks.

I've been looking at them online and reading some reviews but i'm just not exactly sure about them, some kits look very cheap while others in the same price range seem nice.

what is the difference between a photoflood and a quartz system?
does one run hotter thant the other?

i've been comparing the following kits:
Interfit Stellar x tungsten 2 light twin softbox kit
lowel tota two light kit
smith victor k42U toolbox tungsten light kit

any other information, adivce, suggestions would be great.
thanks in advance

Make him write it on your chest and photograph it. I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He probably just wants to be involved in the creative process of posting pics of your tits on an internet forum for a bunch of guys. And if he does have a problem with that, then he's obviously not the guy for you. And I think scape is.

I definitely didn't research my options more when I got lights. I would use a strobe as your main key light. The heat my quartz lights put off is enough to bake someone. Also if you aren't careful moving the lights you'll break the filament in the bulb. -$25

thanks i'll probably be getting an alien bees beginner kit. Although i already have 2 light stands and umbrellas they just don't have universal heads, they came with some quick release post. so i might just get the strobe and see if i can get it to work with the stands i got.
